The
Norman Professional Development Center is a program of the Norman
Public Schools. and resources are available for district personnel.
Teachers and administrators are encouraged to use resources to enhance professional skills and broaden knowledge regarding quality education by:
participating in training sessions
reviewing professional literature
viewing videos on classroom instruction and
school improvement
creating quality instructional materials
reviewing online information and training
The mission of the Norman Professional Development Center is to
promote excellence in education and the continual upgrading of
professional competencies of district educators. The center
provides access to information and resources in proven instructional
and administrative practices which promote quality instruction,
overall school improvement, and increased student achievement.
PDC Calendar September through December 2007
Monday and Wednesday
7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday
7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Open extended hours by appointment only Based on staff availability
The PDC follows the Norman Public Schools' district calendar.
Observed Holidays:
November 21 - 23, 2007: Thanksgiving Break: CLOSED
December 21, 2007 through January 2, 2008: Winter Break: CLOSED
These parties are eligible to use the Center without charge (just the cost of materials and supplies):
Norman Public Schools' certified and support staffs
Norman Public School retired educators
Parents of Norman Public School students if working on a project for the entire classroom
Others who may use the PDF resources for a minimal fee of $5.00 per semester plus cost of materials and supplies or $2.00 per visit plus cost of materials and supplies:
